Objective
Telemed IQ is a platform that enables providers to deploy, optimize and scale a telemedicine program rapidly, seamlessly, and cost-effectively across all care sites.
The objective of the research was to improve the app’s efficiency to optimize physicians’ resources, so they can spend more time in delivering patient care.
My Role
I prepared the protocol, conducted the interviews, collected data, and synthesized the results, and presented the report.
Methods
We interviewed doctors who use the application to provide care. We also interviewed coordination center agents, who coordinate with hospitals and doctors for delivering seamless patient care.
We used observation and semi-structured interview techniques.
Observation – It helped us in identifying paint points that participants may not have mentioned due to the task being second nature to them.
Interview – We chose a semi-structured interview with open-ended questions to discover problems faced by our participants.
Organizing data
We organized the data in tree maps
After studying the data, patterns started appearing
Recommendation
The information should be accessible to users when and if they need it. The users are doctors who often work in urgent situations and have multiple situations demanding attention. They should have the agency of choosing to see an information.
Outcome of User Research exercise
This project is an ongoing research to discover potential pain points and increase efficiency of the application. I have been part of one interview and studied outcome of three previously conducted interviews. The goal is to interview more participants to have a robust database of result and study the patterns. The outcome of this exercise would be to make recommendations based on the result collected from a reasonable set of participants.
